Our Story

Our mission

We are a non-profit (501c3 pending) organization that formed after the CMS AI Healthcare Innovations Challenge. In that challenge we, along with the digital health company Mederrata Inc. (now known as Sound Prediction Inc.) formed team Mederrata to advance our primary mission of using data driven techniques in order to better understand and pre-empt medical errors and other adverse medical events. We comprise largely of researchers and software developers from government and academia.

AI transparency

As a quantitative research group, we have a secondary mission on promoting true AI transparency so that decisions made using computer algorithms can be more trustworthy. We publish in both the fields of health and AI/ML methodology.
